Originally a native of Trois-Rivières, it is in the city of Montreal where I have been established for the past 15 years that I have become accomplished as an artist-teacher. Having cultivated a passion for the human being, the body is, for me, an insatiable source of expressive possibilities. My debuts originally focused on the study of the body’s expression in monochrome, and then I gradually allowed myself to add color and then the medium to perfect my work. Still working in charcoal on rough materials, the combination of these two elements speaks to me. This process allows me to remember history, and to preserve our collective memory, which in turn, brings me back to the origin of Art. Wanting to push the technique ever further, I tend towards exploring new materials and finding new ways of occupying space. The essence of the human being will always rest at the heart of my artistic approach Pasquale
